The only thing harder than creating a viral video is writing a clever lead-in to a post about a viral video.

So maybe we’ll just let the story speak for itself: The publisher of The Wonky Donkey is struggling to keep up with demands after the children’s book starred in a viral video.

Scottish grandmother Janice Clark attempted to read The Wonky Donkey to her four-month-old grandson, but as the book grew more fantastical, her giggles overpowered her ability to read.

And it seems that each time someone watched the video of Clark’s hilarity, they went straight to a bookseller — online or brick-and-mortar — to purchase Craig Smith’s book.

The Guardian reports that Smith’s publisher is printing 50,000 more copies in New Zealand and its counterpart in the UK is also ramping up the presses.

And both the US and UK Amazon store are all sold out.
