Monday motivation: What Sally Field overcame

Life has not been easy for actress Sally Field.

Writing about it with complete honesty, though, wasn’t quite as tough.

Field had found herself compelled to “put all the pieces out in front of” herself and try to make sense of why she felt that way.

So she sat down to write a memoir. And while doing so, she told NPR’s Ari Shapiro, she didn’t pull any punches, because she wasn’t convinced it would be published.

But obviously, it was.
