Neil DeGrasse Tyson on the military's influence on astrophysics

We all know we have space exploration to thank for Tang, but you may not realize just how much astrophysics owes, in turn, to the military.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is here to fill in many of those blanks, with his new book, Accessory To War: The Unspoken Alliance Between Astrophysics And The Military.

Tyson discussed the book as well as other science-related topics with Dave Davies on Fresh Air.
