Google celebrates twenty years with assorted search factoids

It’s hard to believe that Google is twenty years old — have we really been saying “Google it” for two decades?

And at the same time, was there really a time when Google was a huge number and not a synonym for search?

All musings about time aside, Google’s birthday has provided a new fun distraction tool: a special site that provides factoids from its massive search data.

For instance, our first visit to 20years.withgoogle.com told us that Lolita was the most searched book from 1999 to 2002.
