The film adaptation of Patrick DeWitt’s novel The Sisters Brothers — starring John C. Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix — has been in theaters for a while now.

Unsurprisingly, some fans of the book, including Tatum Dooley, were a bit anxious to see how it would translate. (Especially, in Dooley’s case, given the casting choices.)

The fear turned out to be for naught, but who can blame Dooley for expressing reservations about adapting a book for film?
No bookworm would, nor — as it turns out — would even the novel’s writer.
