Who's the most famous author born in your home state?

Fun fact: Today is National Vermont Day.

We did a quick search of authors from Vermont, in hopes of finding something quoteworthy for Instagram, and instead found Business Insider’s list of the most famous author born in each state.

Ralph Nading Hill, the best-known writer from Vermont, didn’t ring a bell in our brains.

It turns out not many lifelong Midwesterners are likely to have read Contrary Country: A Chronicle of Vermont.

It also turns out, at least according to Business Insider, that Vermont-born famous authors are somewhat scarce.
