Feel like you’ve bungled something today? Rest assured, there’s been a more disastrous mistake.
What was supposed to be a celebrity endorsement on a book cover turned out to be quite the opposite, in spite of several sets of skilled eyes on it.
The first copies of Roxy’s Little Black Book of Tips and Tricks by Roxy Jacenko mistakenly quoted a radio host as saying the author “never fails to disappoint” rather than “never fails to deliver.”
Jacenko, an Australian socialite and businesswoman, had sent out advance copies of the book, upon which the typo was discovered (finally).
According to the Guardian, the publisher expects to correct the error in time to still meet the book’s late-November release date.
