In case you somehow missed the news, it's Giving Tuesday — a huge day for donating to nonprofits and charities.
Most donors likely have causes and organizations in mind already, but naturally we felt compelled to toss out the idea of supporting book-related groups. (In addition to, not in place of, giving to your local library district!)
Charity Navigator shared a list of the ten best-rated literacy and reading charities earlier this year, and if none of those strike the right chord with you, consider looking into the nonprofits in these posts from Bustle and Electric Literature.
Vox also has a guide on how to evaluate a charity if you'd like a little extra help in making your decision.
