The TV adaptation of Elena Ferrante’s My Brilliant Friend has finally made a physical mark on the Naples neighborhood where it takes place.

Work is wrapping up this week on a mural that depicts the book’s two main characters, friends Lila Cerullo and Lenù Greco, along with their teacher and the librarian, on the neighborhood’s public library, the Guardian reports.

Ferrante fever hadn’t quite hit Rione Luzzatti despite the worldwide popularity of the books that take place there; the Guardian credits the HBO series based on the first book for inspiring more vocal pride from locals.
