What do you do to pass the time after retiring from twenty-four years in national politics?

Write a memoir, naturally.

John Boehner, the former speaker of the House, told Politico on Monday that he’s working on a book, tentatively titled Notes From A Smoke-Filled Room, about his political career from 1991 to 2015.

Politico suspects that the title hints at how Boehner will portray himself as a throwback politician, but we won’t find out for sure until spring 2020, when it’s expected to hit shelves.
