Sen. Kamala Harris hasn’t decided whether she’ll run for president in 2020, but in the event that she does, she’s already laying the groundwork with her recently released memoir.

The Truths We Hold came out Tuesday, the same day that the California Democrat went on Morning Edition to discuss it with Rachel Martin.

Harris’s book is part memoir, part policy prescription — exactly the type of thing, as Martin points out, that a potential nominee would want to release.
