Bigger isn’t always better — there’s a fascination with miniature books that doesn’t seem to extend to the opposite extreme, says Alison Flood.

She takes a look at tiny books throughout the ages, from the religious texts that one kept close to the chest (literally as well as metaphorically) to the 19th-century technological marvels, in the Guardian.
