New Year’s resolutions are way easier said than done.
So imagine stretching them out across the course of a year, by reading — and practicing — a self-help book each month.
That’s the challenge that Marianne Power took on. And it worked, though not in the way she expected.
She told Mary Louise Kelly on All Things Considered that she set this goal for herself as a way to break herself out of a rut; the project went from a blog to a full-length book called Help Me! One Woman's Quest to Find Out if Self-Help Really Can Change Your Life.
Listen to Power summarize her takeaways and preview her book below or head to NPR’s website to read the interview transcript.
