We hope you’re not tired of political memoirs about an administration that’s still in place quite yet ... because they keep coming, and so do the interviews with their authors.

Andrew McCabe, former acting director of the FBI, is the author of the latest such book.

The Threat: How The FBI Protects America In The Age Of Terror And Trump covers a career in the highest level of law enforcement, leading up to the two investigations that McCabe opened into a sitting president.

McCabe discussed these unusual actions and more in an interview with Fresh Air’s Terry Gross; you can listen below or read a transcript on NPR’s website.
