Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow are best known for their criminal exploits — but even outlaws need a creative outlet or relaxing pastime.

The pair turned to poetry, as it turns out, and his nephew has made a notebook of their work available for auction.

Bidding will begin April 15 through Heritage Auctions, which has images of the lot available on its website.

You can also read transcriptions, spelling errors and all, of the work on Atlas Obscura.

Police shot and killed the famous outlaws, known for a string of murders, thefts, and kidnappings, on May 23, 1934.
