Rock musician Pete Townshend will release his debut novel in November, according to the Guardian.

The Who’s lead guitarist says he has already completed The Age of Anxiety and is also working on an opera and art installation to go with it.

Townshend’s publisher described the book as “a great rock novel” and the narrator “a brilliant creation – cultured, witty and unreliable.”

It’s not his first work of literature; he published a short-story collection in 1985, incorporated an unpublished novel into an album in 1993, and released an autobiography in 2012, in which he addressed revelations that he had accessed a child-pornography website.
