Speaking of the Hugo Awards ... a previous winner has passed away.

Locus reports that Vonda N. McIntyre, an author known for her groundbreaking feminist science fiction, died Monday at the age of seventy.

McIntyre’s novel Dreamsnake was her biggest critical success, winning the Hugo, Locus, and Nebula Awards, but many of her other words were nominated or honored as well.
