The D.C. Public Library is seeking readers’ input on what to add to its collection — specifically, what self-published works should be included.

All library-card holders have until May 31 to send suggestions to the librarian selection panel, which will choose the works that best suit its patrons’ taste.

And the icing on top of that cake? DCist, which reported the story, says the indie-book collection will be featured on top of the library’s OverDrive page.

A similar program in Oregon inspired D.C. to adopt the program.
