It has been, to put it mildly, an absolute roller-coaster ride of a week when it comes to weather.

(If you’ve been enjoying seasonally normal and consistent conditions ... just keep your mouth shut, please.)

So it almost seems prescient that Terry Gross would’ve interviewed the author of a book on how climate change became a politically charged issue last Monday.

Nathaniel Rich’s new book, Losing Earth, takes us through the decades of discussing global warming and how it went from nonpartisan to extremely polarizing.
