TIME magazine has named several authors to its annual list of the hundred most influential people.

They are:

Marlon James, author most recently of Black Leopard, Red Wolf and of A Brief History of Seven Killings (which won the 2015 Man Booker Prize).

Tara Westover, author of the memoir Educated, which was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle and PEN awards, and which was named one of the ten best books of 2018 by the New York Times Book Review.

Lynn Nottage, a playwright who won her second Pulitzer Prize for Sweat, making her the only woman to ever win twice in the drama category, in 2017.

(We weren’t sure whether to also credit HGTV stars Joanna and Chip Gaines as authors, since they technically have published books ... your call.)
