As if being ninety-nine wasn’t accomplishment enough, retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens has just put out his third book.

The Making of a Justice: Reflections on My First 94 Years ends on his 94th birthday and does, in fact, cover his entire life, but the bulk of it focuses on his time on the nation’s top court.

NPR’s Nina Totenberg interviewed Stevens a few days before his book’s release (yesterday); you can read their discussions about ping-pong and politics both past and present on NPR’s website or listen to it below.
