In stark contrast to our earlier post — one that encourages you to enter an internet rabbit hole — we offer up an homage to losing oneself in a book.

Specifically, author Ben Dolnick invites readers to consider binge-reading in place of binge-watching.

While yes, reading here and there is better than not reading at all, Dolnick found a distinct shift in how he absorbed the literature when he sat for prolonged periods of time versus grabbing a few chapters before bed or in between meetings.

Check out his column on binge-reading in the New York Times.
