Should we start the countdown for The Winds of Winter?

After Air New Zealand offered to fly George R.R. Martin to New Zealand to help him finish the sixth book in his Song of Ice and Fire series, Martin graciously thanked the airline for the offer in a post on his website.

He turned down the offer, saying first that he already had plans to visit in summer 2020 for World Science Fiction Convention, second that he had the funds to travel on his own ...

... and third that if he hasn’t finished The Winds of Winter by that visit, they should lock him up in a cabin on White Island until the book is wrapped up.

Longtime fans, would you consider that a light at the end of the tunnel, or another deadline to be missed?
