The relationship between parents and their children can often be complicated.
Adrienne Brodeur’s tale, though, takes that description to a different level.
Her new memoir, Wild Game: My Mother, Her Lover, And Me, addresses (among other topics) how her mother had an extramarital affair while Brodeur was a teen ... and asked her to help hide it.
She discusses Wild Game with NPR’s Mary Louise Kelly in an interview that you can read or listen to below.
NPR also has a spoiler-free review of the book from fellow author Ilana Masad.
