We’ve heard plenty about author John Steinbeck’s literary estate these past few months.

So now here’s some news about his physical estate.

Literary Hub has culled the highlights of a soon-to-end auction of forty items owned by Steinbeck and his third wife.

The belongings, which have apparently sat in a storage unit since Elaine Steinbeck died in 2003, include family photos, letters, Nobel Prize memorabilia, and household items like a silver-plated wine cooler.

As of the writing of this post, Heritage Auctions’ website was offline for maintenance, so you’ll have to content yourselves with what Lit Hub shared for now.
