When people argue that books are dangerous, we doubt they’re envisioning traffic accidents.
Yet that’s what happened — supposedly — to a North Carolina man, according to local TV station WGHP.
The driver, who rear-ended another car, told police that he “became excited and subsequently lost consciousness while listening to an audiobook.”
Unfortunately, the station did not know which audiobook he was listening to, so we can’t help you avoid following in his shoes.
Based on the charges, though, we’d recommend stopping at red lights and reducing speed to avoid collisions.
