When Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors, and the Drug Company that Addicted America came out last year, it was an instant hit, and — sadly — it hasn’t become any less relevant now.

And that’s why author Beth Macy, despite her intentions not to keep writing about the prescription-drug crisis, ultimately produced another nonfiction work about it.

Macy recently finished and released Finding Tess: A Mother’s Search for Answers in a Dopesick America as an Audible original audiobook.

She chatted with Amazon Book Review about that process (and you can also check out a previous interview with Macy about Dopesick, linked from that post).
