’Tis the season to talk about food and family — so here comes an interview with celebrity chef Rachael Ray.

Ray recently put out a cookbook/memoir, titled Rachael Ray 50: Memories and Meals From a Sweet and Savory Life, to commemorate the landmark birthday.

She spoke with NPR’s Lulu Garcia-Navarro about the book and the reflections it contains recently and — of course — shared a (nonturkey) recipe from it, for your dining pleasure.
