The writer and activist Grace Paley was born on this day in 1922.

We’ll admit it — we weren’t terribly familiar with her, which is why she wasn’t in our weekly birthday roundup.

But fortunately, Literary Hub has a feature on the author of A Conversation with My Father and The Long-Distance Runner.

Writer Justin Taylor revisits Paley and another of her works (The Little Disturbances of Man) and invites others to share what she meant to them too in this essay.
