Musician James Taylor has, unsurprisingly, lived a remarkable, action-packed life.
So rather than tackle his entire life story at once, the seventy-one-year-old will cover the first quarter of it — before his marriage to Carly Simon — in an audio-only memoir.
Break Shot: My First 21 Years comes out January 31; it's only available through Audible.
The Los Angeles Times chatted with Taylor last week about the book and also posted a preview clip, in which Taylor talks about his stay in a psychiatric hospital.
Taylor has won five Grammy Awards and was elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for a career that included such hit songs as “Fire and Rain,” “Mexico,” and “Shower the People.”
