Martin Amis, author of Money and London Fields, will publish an autobiographical novel inspired by the death of a fellow writer this fall.
Inside Story focuses on the “vibrant characters who have helped define” Amis and provides “the unseen portrait of (his) extraordinary life,” his publisher told the Guardian.
Among those characters is Christopher Hitchens, whose cancer fight drew Amis to move to the US; other novelists you’ll find in the novel are Kingsley Amis (the author’s father), Saul Bellow, and Iris Murdoch.
You can read more about the book, coming out in September, in the Guardian.
