The suicide of a British TV personality is inspiring people to donate copies of a memoir about depression.
Caroline Flack, who died over the weekend, had tweeted praise for Matt Haig’s Reasons to Stay Alive in 2015.
After Flack’s death, one reader contacted the Big Green Bookshop to say she would purchase a few copies of Reasons that the online retailer could give away to anyone who needed it, according to the Guardian.
Simon Key, who runs the retailer, shared the request on Twitter — and the donations and offers to help simply poured in.
Big Green Bookshop isn’t the only store to field these offers, either; read the Guardian’s article for more such stories.
