We know Amelia Earhart as an aviation pioneer and the heroine of a tragic mystery.
But we should also know her as a passionate fan of poetry … and a passionate poet, too.
Little of Earhart’s poetry has survived, in part thanks to her husband’s desire to help her maintain her privacy even after her disappearance.
But some fragments have survived, and what exists in the archives has inspired an essay by scholar Traci Brimhall.
Settle in with lunch or a cozy beverage and read about Earhart the poet at Literary Hub.
