Yet another pop culture figure is moving into the realm of children’s literature.

Simon Cowell — best known for The X Factor, Got Talent, and American Idol — will write a seven-book series known as Wishfits with his six-year-old son, Eric.

Deadline reports that the first three books were unveiled at Hachette’s global showcase event in London and will be published in spring 2021.

The titular characters include hybrid creatures like a pig/sheep and a chimpanzee/poodle.

Cowell’s reputation may be that of, um, a curmudgeon, but portions of the proceeds from Wishfits will benefit charities.
