None of us can (or should) go to the New York Public Library right now.

But its staff doesn’t mind if you pretend like you’re there, by using an image of it — or any image from its digital collections — as the background for your next video call.

Check out the NYPL blog for sample images, links to the digital collections, and a link on how to change your Zoom virtual background.

Nor should we be gathering at a friend's house or a restaurant for book club — once again, though, the NYPL has a way to connect virtually.

It has partnered with a local radio station to host a virtual and citywide book club, as many other libraries around the nation have done.
