Reese Witherspoon has made two book club picks to cover June and July.
Hello Sunshine members will read I’m Still Here by Austin Channing Brown and The Guest List by Lucy Foley.
Brown’s book offers an account of her experiences as a black woman in a world designed by and for whites.
Foley’s novel is a thrilling tale of what should be a fairy-tale wedding in Ireland that goes terribly wrong.
Witherspoon writes that she wants the book club to continue elevating women’s stories, which was why she chose two books to read simultaneously.
“Unity and understanding through the lens of storytelling is how we will continue these meaningful conversations,” she said on her website.
Previously, Jenna Bush Hager picked A Burning by Megha Majumdar as the June Read With Jenna book, and Good Morning America picked The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett.
