The coronavirus pandemic and ensuing lockdowns have brought out the best in many people, including a furloughed advertising employee in South London.
Millie Ginnett was filling her newfound free time by reading and rapidly realized that buying new books at that clip would be cost-prohibitive.
She posted a list of what she was willing to swap in a few online groups and volunteered to handle the transport, so she could get some exercise.
Before too long, she had collected three hundred books that were waiting to meet their next reader.
Ginnett’s generosity has netted her not only plenty of new reading material, but also baked goods and vouchers for wine.
