Did you love A Visit From the Goon Squad?
Well, good news: Jennifer Egan is writing what she described as a “companion volume” to it, to Entertainment Weekly.
(All that means, so far, is that a few characters from the original book will appear in this new one.)
EW learned about this work in progress when it reached out to Egan for a ten-year-anniversary interview.
But because Goon Squad made more of a splash in 2011 — when it won the Pulitzer Prize — than its release year, Egan hadn’t even realized that this was a milestone for it until EW requested an interview to honor it.
