Josh Malerman discusses "Malorie," his sequel to "Birdbox"

Remember when everyone was watching the movie Birdbox?

Well, it’s time for it to return to the news — the author of the novel upon which it’s based has written a sequel.

Josh Malerman discussed Malorie, which comes out tomorrow, with NPR’s Lulu Garcia-Navarro over the weekend.

The novel revisits the main character of Birdbox, Malorie, and her children; they've spent twelve years in safety with their blindfolds, but that safety is put at risk when a stranger arrives at their door.
