Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, the supposed insider look at the former Prince Harry and his actress bride, has finally come out.

A few days before its release, authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand chatted with NPR’s Lulu Garcia-Navarro to tease some of the book’s revelations.

Or, as the Guardian’s Hadley Freeman would have likely put it, the so-called revelations.

While the official line is that Harry and Meghan Markle had no involvement in Finding Freedom, Freeman scoffs at that claim — and points out that these insider details seem to mostly stick to the surface.

So depending on your cynicism level, check out the NPR interview with authors Scobie and Durand, or enjoy Freeman’s critiques of where they fell short.
