Today we're interviewing author Bronwyn Leroux, who loves creating futuristic fantasy for a new generation of avid YA readers.
Originally from South Africa, she now lives in beautiful Colorado with her family. She enjoys reading (no brainer!), gardening, tennis and the outdoor lifestyle Colorado offers.
SADYE: How did you come to see yourself as a writer, and what inspired you to seek publication?
BRONWYN: I always wanted to write, but it was only when friends who’d received my missives about our move to America encouraged me, that I began thinking about writing seriously.
Then God gave me a dream with the seed of an idea – and my dream of writing became reality.
SADYE: What have been the most surprising, rewarding, and challenging parts of your writing career?
BRONWYN: Most surprising and rewarding: my readers! I love interacting with them — some of them have even become great friends.
Most challenging: trying to write while still doing all the other pieces — outlining next novel, editing, web maintenance, promotions, marketing, and, and, and .. ! It’s overwhelming!
SADYE: What message or theme would you like readers to take away from your work?
BRONWYN: “Everything you've ever wanted is sitting on the other side of fear.” — George Addair.
Don’t be afraid to take a chance — if you fail, there’s no shame in that. The biggest failure is not trying in the first place.
