While we were offline, the Guardian revealed the first three choices for the Not the Booker Prize shortlist.
They are:

Hello Friend We Missed You, by Richard Owain Roberts.

Underdogs: Tooth and Nail, by Chris Bonnello.

Hamnet, by Maggie O’Farrell.
Three more books, chosen not by the public but by a panel of judges, will join these selections next Monday (August 24).
