When one of our Facebook fans shared a photo of a polydactyl cat at the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, we had to make it a standalone post on our page ... and invite others to share literary cat pictures.

We defined "literary cat" fairly loosely in hopes we'd receive many cute pictures.

Mission accomplished!

Here are the best bookish kitties from that post, and seriously — add more photos to this post on Facebook. We will never tire of cute pet pictures.

Your bookish cats

Cynthia L.: “Lulu critiquing my WIP.”

Devon M.: “Rascal likes coffee table books.”

Maria L.: “KitKat - feral cat turned house cat.”

Regien R.: “Olaf loves to read too!”

Tonya L.: “Our deaf kitty Dee! Napping while reading is her specialty!”
