Long-ago creativity pays off for the owner of the Book Bus

We’re fond of saying that hindsight is 20/20.

In the case of bookstore owner Melanie Moore, though, foresight is 20/20.

Three years ago, the retired teacher got cold feet about signing a lease for the bookstore she wanted to open.

But she still opened a store — just not in the way one would expect.

Moore and her husband retrofitted their vintage truck so that she could launch the Book Bus and sell reading material on the go.
