HBO show star will play the lead in "Persuasion" adaptation

Sarah Snook, star of HBO’s Succession, will take the lead in another single-word-titled production.

Snook will play heroine Anne Elliot in an upcoming adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Entertainment Weekly adds that this is the first feature film adaptation for Austen’s final novel — it has appeared on television and then later been adapted to theaters, however.
