It’s certainly not news that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away on Friday.

What might be news to many of us, though, is that she was one of Vladimir Nabokov’s students (before Lolita brought him fame, however).

Literary Hub’s Emily Temple shares highlights from various interviews with Ginsburg in which she discusses how Nabokov, who taught European literature at Cornell in the early 1950s, influenced her writing.
