Are we drawn to this story because it’s about an unusual bookstore or because it’s set in a warm locale?
Either way, we’re sharing Literary Hub’s post about Wuguan Books in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
What makes it so different? The store illuminates just the covers of the books and almost nothing else, except the tables where you can read the books by candlelight.
The idea is to reduce all the other sensory experiences one might have and allow a single-minded focus on the books.
Lit Hub points to the website Gigantic Forehead for a deeper dive into Wuguan Books.
