The only thing Dean Koontz fans have to worry about, when it comes to him, is his eventual death — not writer’s block.

The author of over 100 books told the Associated Press that he has a drawer full of ideas that serve as his emergency well — and he has yet to dip into it.

Koontz’s most recent release is Elsewhere, about a man presented with the ability to jump around parallel universes, but one of his most buzzed-about books dates back to 1981.

The Eyes of Darkness references a virus coming out of Wuhan, China, giving it an eerie relevance to 2020’s coronavirus pandemic.

Koontz discussed these two books, his stockpile of ideas, and his relationships with Hollywood and Amazon, in the interview, which you can read on the AP’s website.
