So many updates from the world of book adaptations!
In the order of firmest to haziest, we have:
Starz has released the trailer for season three of its adaptation of American Gods by Neil Gaiman; you can watch it on YouTube or at the bottom of this post.
New episodes come out January 10.
Douglas Stuart’s Shuggie Bain, which won the 2020 Booker Prize, has been optioned for TV, too.
Deadline reports that Stuart will adapt the book — his debut novel — himself.
And finally, Showtime has optioned a book that has yet to be published.
Deadline also reports that John Heilemann is writing a book about the 2020 election and Joe Biden’s path to the presidency, and Showtime — which also airs a political show that Heilemann co-hosts — has already bought the screen rights to it.
