Nico Walker’s debut novel, Cherry, was a surprise hit in 2018.

So it’s probably no surprise, then, that it’s becoming a movie.

Tom Holland stars in the film, which hits theaters February 26 and Apple TV+ on March 12.

Cherry, written while Walker served prison time and based on his own experiences, tells the story of an Iraq War veteran who becomes addicted to drugs upon his return — leading him to begin robbing banks.

We now have a trailer for the movie, which you can watch below, as well as an update on Walker.

Literary Hub reports that Walker has been released, is working on a second novel, and has gotten engaged to a fellow writer (poet Rachel Rabbit White).
